On appeal, he contends (1) that his case should be reviewed under the procedure set forth in People v. Collins (1986) 42 Cal. 3d 378 [228 Cal. Rptr. 899, 722 P.2d 173], and (2) that the trial court abused its discretion by admitting his six prior convictions for crimes of moral turpitude, three of which were identical to the charged offense.
